Day 8 - Monday 22nd March - Unexpected Water Feature pt.2

It was a cold night and our poor 13 year old mutt was unsettled. We assumed it was because she was cold so she joined us in bed. And I mean in bed!! It was the happiest she has been since we got here - closely followed by a walk on the beach later. I admit she has been slightly neglected of late.

We dug out the rest of the drain and connected it to the one behind the “furrow”. It worked! Julia spent hours working her way upstream clearing all blockages and soon the furrow was draining. This wasn’t going to be the end of drainage misery but it certainly helped.

Later on, I was trying to install a drain connector to the bottom of the shower and unfortunately I leant against the water inlet and broke it. The pump immediately kicked off and I got soaked. We wasted about 3 hours fixing it. Really annoying… and cold!

We registered with the Coll medical practice and are waiting to find out what to do regarding vaccinations. I have an appointment in Edinburgh but that’s a long way to go for a jab!! We shall see…

Another nice shower to rid us of the grime and then over to Rob and Romayne’s for a birthday garden bevy to celebrate his birthday.

And we remembered the end of day shot again … but not much has changed…
